摘要:在楷书发展史中,唐楷独树一帜,其地位之高,法度之严,影响之深远,可谓后世不能企及。欧阳询、虞世南、褚遂良、薛稷被誉为“初唐四大家”,然而欧阳询以其强烈的美学风格及审美取向卓然独立于四大家之首。他在继承魏晋六朝神韵温丽书风的同时,自觉吸取北朝刚劲朴茂的特点,形成重法尚意的美学思想。晚于欧阳询的褚遂良是唐代承前启后的人物。他极具创新的瘦劲疏朗、飘逸灵动的风格对唐楷艺术的发展具有深远意义。二人的楷书风格既有相似之处又有不同之处,本文主要从两位书法家的人生历程、生活态度、师承关系及取法、楷书风格本体语言以及二人楷书风格对当代的影响等方面进行比较,让学者可以更加直观的了解到两位楷书大家之间的关系与区别。62736

1 前言
隋朝一统天下,南北书风同炉共冶、自然融合,趋于中和,可谓上接北朝,下启三唐。欧阳询、虞世南、褚遂良、薛稷被誉为“初唐四大家”,然而欧阳询以其强烈的美学风格及审美取向卓然独立于四大家之首。他在继承魏晋六朝神韵温丽书风的同时,自觉吸取北朝刚劲朴茂的特点,形成重法尚意的美学思想。通过对其楷书代表作《九成宫》的研习,可以看出其字体结构典雅大方, 法式严谨, 看似平正, 实则险劲。点画、结体和章法互为因果,浑然一体。笔力刚劲清秀,结体险绝瘦峻,既得北碑方正峻利之势,又有南帖风姿秀雅之韵。晚于欧阳询的褚遂良是唐代承前启后的人物。他极具创新的瘦劲疏朗、飘逸灵动的风格对唐楷艺术的发展具有深远意义。通过其楷书代表作《雁塔圣教序》可以看出其楷书主要特征是提按分明,以行入楷,一波三折,变化自然。用笔精到细腻,线条清腴温润、婉媚遒劲,其结体宽博和谐。全篇章法疏朗,更显清俊飘逸,瘦硬通神,风姿卓越,神韵毕现。目前对于初唐书法中欧阳询和褚遂良个人研究的成果很多,然而这些研究只是论述欧阳询和褚遂良个人的论证,并没有对二人在楷书风格的比较上有较为系统详尽的理论研究。因此我想就二人的楷书风格做一比较,让学者可以更加直观的了解到两位楷书大家之间的联系与区别。
