Abstract With the feminism rising in the twentieth Century, a similar status and experience of women and translation combines the logical translation and feminism. Pearl S. Buck, a very famous female writer, is frequently studied on her writings. However, her translations, an important part of her literary contributions, are rarely paid attention to. In view of this, the author takes Pearl S. Buck's translation, Shui Hu Zhuan, as a case study, attempting to explore the translator's subjectivity in translation from the perspective of the feminist translation theory. By analyzing Pearl S. Buck's translations, we can find that Pearl S. Buck displays great subjectivity in the selection of the text, especially the selection of her own words in the translated texts. In this thesis, the author makes a specific analysis of how Pearl S. Buck's female subjectivity is displayed, in order to provide a new platform for the study of translation.61264

1. Introduction
During the 80s in the 20th century, a reformation occurred in the international translation field known collectively as the “cultural turn”. The culture turn embraces heated point in translation studies, providing innovative methods and perspectives for translation, among which the feminist translation theory is a key part. Naturally, feminism can trace back to the feminist movement, aimed to fight for equality between men and women in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, which greatly influenced translation studies. Feminist translation has formed a huge challenge in traditional translation. Recently, people have paid attention to feminist translation which has exerted great influence on translation studies. However, in China, there are few researches conducted on feminist translation theory.
