    摘 要词汇在语言学习和应用中的地位和重要性是毋庸置疑的,它是培养听、说、读、写、译五种基本技能的基础,如何采用科学有效的教学策略进行词汇教学显得尤为重要。本文主要分析高中英语词汇教学的现状,使用文献分析的研究方法。本文侧重于教学策略,即“如何教学生学”,运用联想记忆策略,情感策略,构词法策略去探寻在新的教学环境下,进行科学有效的词汇教学。关注词汇教学的策略,它可以使学生从“要我学”变为“我要学”,使学生养成自主学习英语的习惯。37062

    Abstract Vocabulary is undoubtedly the key part of English language study. It is crucial for students to improve their abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation. So it seems especially important to adopt a scientific teaching strategy in vocabulary teaching. The paper mainly analyses the present state of the vocabulary teaching in senior middle schools, and it uses research methods of literature analysis. This paper focuses on teaching strategy, how to teach the students to learn, adopting associative memorizing strategy, emotional strategy and word formation strategy to find a way of teaching vocabulary more scientifically and effectively in the new environment of teaching. As soon as more attention is paid to the strategies of vocabulary teaching, it can make students change from“being required to learn”to “wanting to learn”and it will enable student to develop a habit of autonomous learning.

    I. Introduction
     As is known to all, the three elements of language are pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. Vocabulary is one of the basic elements of the language. Vocabulary is the foundation of the other learning activities such as speaking and translating. The English linguist, Wilkins, said: “if there is no grammar, people can only express something, but if there is no vocabulary, people can express nothing”. (Wilkins 111) As a consequence, vocabulary learning and teaching is the key to English learning and teaching.
    Since vocabulary learning is a long-term task, the right vocabulary learning strategy can make the students independent from the teacher. Their effective learning can enlarge their vocabulary gradually. The appropriate learning strategy can make the students learn the vocabulary effectively at any time. It can enhance students' confidences of vocabulary learning. The good habit can have the foundation to the further study in school. The British scholar, Michsel West, said, “learning a language is the main task of the acquisition of vocabulary, and use the vocabulary as a master”. Harmer, said, if the language structure is compared to the skeleton of language, the vocabulary words provide vital organs and flesh and blood for language.(Harmer 13) Therefore, the requirement of vocabulary is not only learning and remembering, but also using and expressing. The vocabulary teaching can not only enlarge students' vocabulary, but also improve students' abilities to use the known words. But some students have a small vocabulary and don't know how to use the words they know. This paper aims at helping students grasp some effective vocabulary learning strategies. By a series of useful teaching behaviors, teachers can improve the vocabulary teaching process. Strategies refer to the fact that the teaching plans to guide students to study, in order to achieve teaching objectives successfully, teachers should cultivate the students' vocabulary memorization abitities and teach students to learn and master vocabulary effectively.
