        本论文主要介绍了31-35GHz六位MMIC数字衰减器的原理、电路的设计、仿真优化。本文首先对MMIC技术、发展历程和数字衰减器进行了简单的介绍,

    详细分析了MMIC元器件模型,深入探讨了各位数字衰减器的电路拓扑结构;其次根据六个衰减位不同的衰减量要求计算出拓扑结构中的电阻初值,并针对附加相移、衰减精确度、插入损耗和输入输出驻波比等指标要求一同进行优化,完成六个衰减位的单独设计;最后将六位数字衰减器级联进行总体优化。

        本文所采用的设计软件是Advanced Design System 2008(ADS2008)软件,根据频段,衰减大小,衰减精度,附加相移等主要参数指标,对每一位的衰减器选择合适的拓扑模型进行优化仿真。

    Title      The IC Research on Digital Attenuator    

    Abstract

    With the development of communication technology,communication systems are   constantly upgrading. Communication products also are developing at many directions such as miniaturization、low-power and reliability. Due to its small size, good stability, capability, consistency and cheap in mass yield, Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) is becoming more and more important in the communication market. As the key component of system,Monolithic microwave integrate circuit digital attenuator is widely used in the field of phase array antenna,  broadband electronic countermeasures,RF amplifier, AGC T/R system and so on.

    This paper mainly introduced the circuit design,layout design and of this 31-35GHz MMIC 6-bit digital attenuator with low phase shift.There is a brief introduction of MMIC technology and developing course as well as digital attenuator at the beginning of this paper. And then we analyze the model of the MMIC components,and described the basic theories of digital attenuators and contrasted the principle of several typical topologies for attenuators.After the appropriate topology is selected for each bit,the initial values of  the ideal resistors are calculated for different attenuation based on different attenuation requirements of different attenuators,proper optimized functions are chosen for all optimized goals such as Insertion phase shift, attenuation accuracy, insertion loss and input/output VSWR.While each bit has achieved their best states,they can be cascaded for simulation.At last,the layout was designed and optimized combined with the Processing technology to achieve the comprehensive best result.

    In this design,Advanced Design System2008(ADS2008) is used as the EDA tool.based on frequency, attenuate, accuracy of attenuate, phase shifter and other characters, choose the right topology for every inpidual attenuator to optimize and simulate.
