    Abstract-Pro/Engineer is a parametric feature-based design of 3D software, with parametric modeling functions. To reduce the development cycle and improve the design quality of jaw crusher,this paper takes full advantage of the Function module of the Pro/Engineer platform to make model simulation and dynamic analysis on the actual jaw crusher mechanism, and provided the updated path for the design and manufacture of Jaw Crusher.23569

    1.  INTRODUCTION
        Jaw Crusher is an important detritus equipment in the production  processing,because of its simple structure, reliability, easy to manufacture and maintenance, adaptability, etc,which are widely used in the crushing work of variety of ores and bulk materials in mining, smelting, building material, highway, railway, water conservancy and chemical and other industries. The schematic diagram of jaw crusher is shown in Figure 1

      In the traditional design process of mechanical products,hand drawing or computer drawing 2D graphical is often used to express the mechanical parts and assembly relationships, this approach is difficult to directly reflect the motion relations and the relative position of the various components during the operation, and also can not directly determine its motion is reasonable, whether there is interference between the various parts and other issues.
      In this paper, the 3D design software out virtual assembly, motion simulation for the jaw crusher mechanism Pro/E is used to carry and dynamic analysis.
    II.  ESTABLISHMFNT OF JAW CRTJSHFR 3D MODEL
    A.  Establishment of the jaw crusher parts model
      According to the actual shapes and sizes of jaw crusher [1]-[2], it should firstly abstract the movement vice between the components and define 3D solid model before the simulation Pro/E platform which contains some auxiliary Datum plane,stretching, chamfering, constraints and other characteristics, is widely used to built the models, such as static j aw box,connecting rods, pins, crank and crank frame and other parts,which are abstracted in accordance with the actual parameters.The paintings of these parts are simple, so they are no longer specifically introduced.
    B.  Virtual assembly process
        In the actual assembly process, the  general assembly sequence is based on many assembly rules which contains taking the outside after the first inside, the difficult after the first easy, the light and small after the first major. However,things can be different in the virtual assembly of the Pro/E platform.  Add up the parts one by one  as long as the relationship between the parts is made sure, then the newly added components reference relationship will assemble together and dependent on the position relations of existing components. It can lead to many problems even failures between the parts assembly if the positions of existing parts are not restricted or constraints are not enough.
        In order to solve this problem above, a brief explanation should be made first. Firstly, it should use "default" or "fixed"to fully constrain its position when the first static j aw box is added. Next, the crank pedestal is added and adopted "rigid"connection. If it is displayed not fully constrained, it should adopt plane alignment constraint, until it is displayed totally constraint, in the way that the position of imported parts was fixed. Finally, in order to make dynamic jaw plate, connecting rods and pins only have one rotational degree of freedom and realize rotation around the fixed axis, the "pin" connection should be chosen, and also the constraint type of axis alignment and plane alignment should be chosen. The complete virtual assembly chart of jaw crusher with color distinguishes is shown in Figure 2 [3]. So, in the virtual assembly process of jaw crusher, it must be noted that the position of static jaw box should be first fixed. Again, the components that need to be fixed in the box are assembled. And then other components are assembled. This approach is more suitable for the assembly requirements of Pro/E platform.
